Dawit Ergicho Fanta is a seasoned Civil Engineer and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over three decades of experience in infrastructure development across Africa. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University and an M.Sc. in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering from Hohai University, China.

As the Founder and Managing Director of ELDA Engineering Consultants, he has led complex transport infrastructure and urban development projects in Ethiopia, Angola, and East Africa Region. Dawit’s expertise covers project management, road and highway design, construction supervision, drainage and hydrology, environmental and social impact assessments, and contract administration under FIDIC conditions.​

He has served as President of the Ethiopian Consulting Engineers and Architects Association (ECEAA), where he played a key role in institutional reforms, policy advocacy, and capacity building within the sector.

With a deep understanding of local contexts and international standards, Dawit combines technical proficiency, leadership, and strategic vision to deliver sustainable engineering solutions across sectors.
